Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the packaging discreet?

A: Yes! The kit is packaged in a United States Postal service padded envelope. Our Woman’s Best Life LLC is the addressee.

Q: Can I reuse the Cupid Cervical cup?

A:  No, the Cupid Cup is single use only.  All contents in the kit are single use only. Please boil the cup per instructions sheet prior to use to sterilize it. Handle the cup carefully while hot. Most customers purchase 2-3 kits per ovulation cycle.

Q: How do you use the cup?  How do you place the cup?

A:  Please visit our How to Use page. Please remove the cup after 6 hours.

Q:  Do I have to be ovulating to use the Cupid Cervical Cap?

A:  Yes. We recommend timed intercourse. Timed intercourse is defined as intentionally having intercourse while in your ovulation window. This will significantly increase your chances of conceiving. It is imperative that you’re ovulating to maximize your efforts of conceiving.

Q:  How do I know I am ovulating?

A:  Using a period tracker of choice will cue you in on when you ovulate. During that time, please use the ovulation tests in the Cupid or TTC bundle kit once daily to confirm you are ovulating. Please note the Cupid Baby Pregnancy kit does not come with ovulation tests only pregnancy tests.

Q: How often should I try to conceive with the Cupid kit?

A: Most gynecologists recommend that you only need to have sex every other day the week you are ovulating. Sperm can survive up to 5 days in the vaginal canal.

Q: Can I pee while the Cup is in place?

A: Yes.

Q:  Where do I find a sperm donor?

A:  You may use any reputable sperm donor company of choice.  We recommend Fairfax Cryobank at  https://fairfaxcryobank.com/

Q: How does the Cupid cervical cap work?

A: The cervical cup method is used for problems such as sperm immobility, low sperm count, or a hostile vaginal environment. Additionally, research shows that 90% of the sperm will not survive the first 10 minutes inside the vagina for various factors. By concentrating semen near the opening of the cervix it reduces the distance the sperm may need to travel to fertilize the egg. Because traditional infertility treatments can be expensive, painful, and time-consuming, they may not be feasible for many women. Using the Cupid kit prior to trying traditional infertility treatments may help achieve a much-desired pregnancy without those downsides.

Q: Can I use frozen sperm?

A: Yes, simply pour thawed room temperature semen into the Cupid cup. Remember the Cupid cup is the collection cup! No transfers with syringes or collection cups necessary.  See the instruction sheet for how to place the cup. Please use room temperature sperm. Thaw frozen sperm to room temperature per your donor instructions. Use sperm immediately after thawing, as most donor bank instructions will say to use the thawed sperm within 30 minutes of thawing.

Q: How soon should I check for pregnancy?

A: No sooner than 4 days before your period. You could get a positive test as soon as 10 days after conception. Ideally you should wait until you miss your period for better accuracy.

Is the Cupid Kit FSA or HSA eligible?

A: Yes, simply forward or upload the completed order receipt email you receive from us to your FSA/HSA provider.  Most fertility tracking/support or device items are covered and eligible.
